Spice and Wolf: Holo's and My One Year (狼と香辛料 ボクとホロの一年, Ōkami to Kōshinryō Boku to Horo no Ichinen) is dating and business simulation visual novel for the Nintendo DS. It was released on June 26th 2008 in Japan, the same day the 2008 anime ended. While the game never received a western release, it received an English fan translation on March 30th 2021 by AGT Team, where the title was localized as Spice and Wolf: My Year With Holo.[1]
The game was developed in collaboration by ASCII Media Works and NETCHUBIYORI 熱中日和.[2]
While the protagonist is simply referred to as boku, he closely resembles Kraft Lawrence.
Plot
The game is set in an "another world"[2] where the player, a novice traveling merchant, enters a contract with Holo to find and take her to homeland in exchange for receiving a wagon from her. The time restraint of "one year" from the title is not an explicit part of this contract.
Holo decides to give her wagon to the player in exchange for entering a "strange contract" on a whim that the player can use his merchant skills to search for her homeland.
